It's that time of year again
The Miss Universe competition, of course, which means it's time for us to check in on Hinderaker.
We’ve noticed that pageant news is much easier to keep up with these days than it used to be. When we pioneered the coverage of pageants by serious political web sites some years ago, it was considered exotic if not scandalous. Now, however, news outlets of all sorts are tuned into the big international competitions. As it turned out, we were ahead of our time.Call him Hinderaker the Harbinger. All you serious political websites now covering beauty pageants better recognize.

This, right here. How do you joke on this stuff? It's hard to add commentary that doesn't distract from the elegance of the original.
