"The Ref Is a Commie!": Silvio Berlusconi Finds Yet Another Fifth Column

Silvio Berlusconi is a rich man who owns a number of things.  One of these things is the AC Milan soccer team.  A couple of weeks ago AC Milan played its second game of the 2010-2011 season away at Cesena, a team that has just moved up to Italian soccer's Big Show and has so far done surprisingly well.  They beat the visitors 2-0.  Berlusconi knew why:

Berlusconi bizarrely blamed the Cesena defeat on a “left-wing referee” (La Repubblica helpfully spoke to locals in match official Carmine Russo’s hometown and discovered he’s actually more of a Popolo della Libertà voter, the right-wing coalition of which Berlusconi’s Forza Italia party is a prominent member)[.]
Such superficial discrepancies cannot distract the prime minister from the deeper truth.  Further proof of an expansive footy fifth column: the crowd at the Cesena stadium expressed in song its desire to see Berlusconi in jail, and the ref did nothing.

One final note: It's not too late to exchange the Christmas gift for that special paranoid soccer club owner in your life from the t-shirt that says "The ref's a fucking wanker" to the one that says "The ref's a fucking commie."

How can communism keep recruiting when Berlusconi has been so successful? It makes me doubt my sanity.

It's gotta be the Church and the way it trains its members.
