Shit, goddamn, how dare you, Hiaasen!

Thinking of getting Carl Hiaasen's Scat for a Young Reader or two?  Better read the reviews first—not the gushy, "We love you, Carl!" ones but the negative ones, particularly a pair of two-starrers.  First, reviewer K. Anderer troll rates the book because it has naughty words like "damn" and "dumbass" and reviewer K. Anderer didn't check for such things before giving the book to a Young Reader.  Second, reviewer Barbara A. Malia:

I WOULD ADVISE ADULTS BUYING THIS BOOK FOR THEIR
CHILDREN TO READ IT FIRST. I'D HATE TO SEE A 10
OR 12 YEAR OLD CHILD READING THIS.…A
STRANGE SWAMP GUY TIEING ANOTHER MAN TO A TREE WITH
NO CLOTHES ON.
The entire review is written in all caps.  It is mercifully brief.

As is so often the case, fun to be found in the comments.

Apologies to both Funkadelic and Hiaasen.

I am concerned about the nude tree.

It must've been a Gumbo-limbo tree, also known as the Naked Indian Tree.

This review is from: Scat (Paperback)
I did not enjoy this book because I found it implausable and impossible to understand! It also portrayed dangerous crimmanals as role models which was unsuitable and irrelevent! DONT READ THIS!

Someone other than Hiassen must have been the reviewer's role-model for spelling.
